Are DBK heating elements suitable for different voltage ranges?

Yes, thanks to the PTC effect, our PTC heating elements can be operated in voltage ranges of e.g. 24 - 48V or 100 - 240V at almost constant power (multi-voltage capability). This allows for safe operation at different voltage ratings.

How can I control the temperature of my component without additional controls in terms of temperature limitation and safety?

With the correct design of the PTC heating element in terms of temperature and power, the desired temperature in your application is set automatically.

Does DBK offer heating elements with electrical protection class?

Almost all PTC heating elements are designed in protection class II and are approved by VDE accordingly. This means that no additional grounding is required to ensure electrical insulation.

Are DBK‘s heating elements approved for the global market?

Generally, almost all PTC heating elements have worldwide approvals such as CE, VDE, UL, CSA etc. The approvals for each product can be found on the respective product page and on the data sheet. All products

Almost all PTC heating elements are classified as "non-flammable" according to UL 94 V-0. In conjunction with their limited surface temperature, they also comply with the applicable standards depending on the application.

Are DBK's heating elements energy-efficient?

Our PTC heating elements are energy-efficient thanks to their dynamic power adaptation. Their high initial power output automatically decreases as the temperature in the application increases. Power only when needed.
